If you like to try different tasty food with fresh ingredients, this is the place for you. The outdoor dining area was fantastic on a rare nice autumn day. The food was truly great and the drinks were also of excellent quality. Staff were very friendly and could explain the varying menu options expertly. Highly recommended!

Amazing food! We have been here several times and it is one of our faves. We have tried almost everything on the menu and each item as just as good as the next. Great service. We recently did take out due to no inside dining with stay at home orders and they have a great system!

Love the place and setup. Didn't like the bartender that threw away all the plastic straws since I took a single straw and "he said because I wasn't wearing gloves so now he had to throw them all out because of the health inspector... probably killed a few turtles in the process." Overall great place!

We we're lucky enough to have a large table of 6. Lucky because we ordered about 9 items from the menu and passed them around so everyone got a taste. Everything was a unique taste treat! Service was great with recommendations of dishes and how to eat them when they arrived. A dining experience we want to repeat.

Went during their brunch menu. The food was SO full of flavor and its all made with real, simple ingredients which makes me happy! I was delighted to see they have gluten free options. And their bloody mary is AMAZING! Has flavors that remind of thai red curry...super original. Love it and will be going back again to try their dinner menu.

We went here to celebrate my birthday and had a great time. I can not say enough great things about our server. She went over the top in helping us decide which of the amazing dishes to try on the menu. Everything was delicious but we especially loved the curry cauliflower. Also, I have a lot of food allergies and have never felt so comfortable in a restaurant. Usually, it's a very stressful situation for me. Can't wait to go back!

First time, really enjoyed the food. Beautiful flavors. The vibe is tiki and hip. A little lively (loud) on a Saturday evening to converse but still a great environment.

Very good! A little warm in the outdoor area that has transitioned to indoor seating for the winter, but that is understandable.

Love at first sip and first bite! The first restaurant I tried after moving to MN. Upon arrival I was a little reluctant due to parking (downtown) and the long line at the door at 8pm at night (20 minutes wait time)! But after eating there, I over-stand why the place is so busy! Below are my ratings for everything we ate. - Spring Rolls (made vegan for me upon request) 5/5 stars! Delicious!! - Salt & Pepper tofu: 5/5 stars! The tofu was seasoned, soft, and slightly crispy on the outside and the time tofu sauce served with it paired perfectly! - Root Vegetables Curry: 10/5 stars! Root vegetables can be very boring and pairing them is not always done right but this was perfection! - Hanoi Sticky Rice: my partner rated it 5/5, it’s his to go dish on the menu! - Pork Ribs Adobo: my partner rated it 10/5, another one of his go to on the menu. The drinks are also great! They taste and smell good. Overall, great good and drink, friendly staff, and cool dining atmosphere!

Excellent atmosphere and delicious food. Crispy rice salad is always a hit, I prefer it without the ham.

I just love this place! The food is extremely flavorful, fun, and fresh! The Balinese Cauliflower is a must get if you have never had it! We get it every time and are never disappointed. The crepe is also a must, it’s amazing. Tried the Bun Cha Hanoi this time as we always try a new dish and the flavors were fantastic, it was awkward to eat but I would order it again!

The Twin Cities are home to many fine Asian restaurants and Hai Hai is one of the best. It stands out from the crowd by virtue of its bold and innovative menu. We don't go there for a familiar meal. We go there for a culinary adventure!

Delicious drinks to be sure. Love their cocktails, yummy and boozy enough. I would recommend being ready to order several options, as the quantity is not very generous. However, the food itself is very good and quite unique.

Not bad but probably won't go again. Food was ok, nothing special. Interesting flavors but didn't mesh well. Good service tho.

Food & drinks are always amazing here. Our service last night was excellent. We had a larger group and our server was on it. Didn't catch his name but he was a tall gentleman, had a salt & pepper pony tail and a few colorful strings tied in his hair. Recommended great dishes and was very accommodating. It's always helpful when the other staff members run food and drink so efficiently, we were never waiting long for a refill. Thanks for the great food & service!!

Really top notch restaurant here. Drinks were well made and tasted amazing. The atmosphere was creative and gave off good vibes. The staff was attentive, helpful, and genuinely seemed to want to be there. Food was amazing. This place does an amazing job building layers of flavor into very unique dishes. The Shrimp Toast appetizer was my personal favorite. The only to things I would adjust was my Pho Corned Beef Benedict was a little lite in the portion size. Even replacing the side salad with fried potatoes would have gone a long way. The second is this is NOT a place for the "meat and potatoes" type of eater (and I don't mean that as a bad thing, just an advisory). The flavors are punchy, spicy, and citrusy all rolled into one. It's a lot for some of the more "routine" eaters of the world.

When we arrived they were playing loud music, which was a bit off putting, as it made conversation difficult. However others in the restaurant seemed to enjoy the overall ambiance. The interior decor was very nice, but it slightly felt like they were trying too hard. I have been to a few Vietnamese restaurants in the Cities, and this one certainly has a unique menu. I enjoyed the food I ordered, however I did find it a bit expensive. If you like taking pictures of your food, you should probably check out this place.

Holy cow, this is truly one of the best restaurants I’ve ever experienced. Where do I begin? Everything we ate was INCREDIBLE. So fresh, so rich, so beautifully plated. I got a Balinese chicken thigh over rice with an AMAZING sauce. It was the perfect combination of creamy and spicy, and there were so many complex layers to the flavors on the plate. Seriously, go check this place out ASAP, you will love it!

Heard about this restaurant from a list of best new restaurants in the U.S. and it definitely lived up to expectations. We went for happy hour and got a couple cocktails and some food. The cocktails were amazing. I recommend the sticky rice bowl and ribs. The fried wontons were a weird flavor (if you like spam you'll probably like them though). The decor is cool and the wait staff were very nice and helpful. Great experience overall and have since recommended my friends to go because it was so unique.

We hosted a large group here with a reservation on a Saturday. The latest reservation we could get was at 3 pm. I assumed we would be in a nearly empty restaurant at this time but it was already packed! The service was awesome and the food and drinks were amazing. We have been a few times as a couple but loved it just as much with a large group. We had the gamut of food allergies and preferences with crones to vegan to seafood and fish allergies and they were able to accommodate everyone and do so well.

This place is so good. It’s become my go to spot more or less. I have had everything on the menu at this point and I’ve never been disappointed. Order the Balinese cauliflower and the crispy rice salad. Check out the Hai Thai for a tasty unique drink.

This place is just AWESOME!! Not only their dishes are flavorful but also their ambience is lively. I specially like their outside seating during summer months. It gives this place a fusion-y and exotic vibe. I have been here for Brunch and Dinner and I loved both their menu. If u want to try a good Asian place which is a little trendy and unique - this is the place!

They prefer puppets. Last time I was there they kept asking if anyone had puppets.

Call them to clarify

I don't think that there is an auto door.

This place does

Call I think

On their website, they do note that they only take reservations for parties of 6 or larger. Smaller parties are walk-in only. But it doesn't hurt to call half an hour ahead to see if they're willing to put you on a list. We walked in and asked for a table for 4 and they didn't seat us until everyone was there even though there were tables open.

Agree with the above answers. Feel free to bring your kids.
